Gulf Arabs ‘stepping up’ arms supplies to Syrian rebels

According to a well placed source, Saudi Arabia is ramping up arms supply to opposition groups as predicted in a previous post by The WIDER View (see below).

The source states that Saudi Arabia will not be supplying weapons to IS or Jabhat al-Nusrah, they will be supplied to three coalitions – Jaish al-Fatah (Army of Conquest), the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the Southern Front.

It’s strange because Jaish al Fatah (Army of Conquest) is know to have fundamentalist groups within its ranks and have openly co-operated with Jabhat al-Nusrah.

The Southern Front is allied to The Islamic Front, a group known to be fighting to establish an Islamic state and establish Sharia law in Syria.

It also contains Ahrar ash-Sham, a known fundamentalist coalition that has and continues to co-operate with Jabhat al-Nusrah.

Will arms not filter through to Jabhat al-Nusrah and other fundamentalist groups?
