Fast forward to the 1:05:00 and watch to 1:08:00 (1 hour and 5 minutes and 1 hour and 8 minutes) mark: Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Anne Patterson, is questioned at the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on the 04 November 2015.

Anne Patterson confirms that Jabhat al Nusra (al Qaeda in Syria) have absorbed groups previously deemed moderate by the West but ‘only in the North’.

No mention in main stream media outlets regarding this and no questions raised of policy regarding arms and support. This is despite previously deemed moderate groups switching to Jabhat al Nusrah (al Qaeda in Syria).

Who is to say it wont happen again with groups we currently deem as moderate?
