IS allegedly still have support from tribes in Anbar province, Iraq

According to posts on a pro IS website dated the 21 November 2015, IS media arm al Anbar releases an image of alleged tribal elders supporting IS in Anbar province, Iraq.

It goes to show that IS continue to have support among various Sunni tribes and elders within Iraq, helping in their retention of land gained during its rapid expansion across Iraq and Syria in 2013 and 2014.

With Western preference for locals to take the fight to IS, affiliated tribes such as these need to be coaxed away in order to make gains against IS in ground they currently hold within Anbar province.
